Follow our measuring guide

Spend some time carefully measuring your windows to ensure your blinds are the best possible fit. We recommend using a metal tape measure for greater accuracy.

There are two options for blinds, so you need to choose whether you’d like them to fit inside or outside the window recess. The recess must be at least 75mm (3”) deep to accommodate the blind mechanism.

Inside the recess
Measure the total width and length of the recess to the nearest millimetre. Do this at several points to account for any variation or irregularities in the window. Choose the narrowest and shortest measurements to ensure the blind fits inside.

Outside the recess
Decide how much you want the blind to overlap the recess on all sides. We recommend this should be at least 5cm (2”). For roller blinds add an extra 5cm (2”) to the width measurement to account for the operating mechanism. Record these measurements to the nearest millimetre.
